Tampa Bay Rays News & Updates
The Tampa Bay Rays were 2-3, 4th in the AL East. Yesterday, the Tampa Bay Rays lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 2-6 at American Family Field.
Small sample size at 5 games. Not a great stretch. Losing by 4 last night pulls things in the wrong direction. Making it worse, pitching at 6.0 RA/G. That's a problem.

Rays News
Shane McClanahan made his long-awaited return to the mound, but it was overshadowed by a disappointing 6-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. After 972 days away from Major League action, the former All-Star showed flashes of his talent with a solid four-pitch mix, yet the Brewers’ bats were relentless, exploiting his rust. The Rays' pitching woes continue to plague them, now averaging 6.0 runs allowed per game, which won't cut it in a competitive division. A blown call from umpire C.B. Bucknor didn’t help matters, but the Rays need to rise above these distractions if they hope to turn around their 2-2 start. With Yandy Díaz and Jonny DeLuca swinging hot bats, the offense shows promise, but a tune-up is desperately needed against the same Brewers team they face again soon.
Rays Upcoming Schedule
The Tampa Bay Rays visit the Minnesota Twins for a 3-game series starting Friday.
