Pirates News
After a rollercoaster of a game against the Washington Nationals, the Pittsburgh Pirates fell short in an 8-7 heartbreaker that highlighted the team's inconsistency. Despite impressive efforts to claw back from multiple deficits, sloppy execution and costly mistakes ultimately sealed their fate in extra innings. Marcell Ozuna's three-run homer offered a brief glimmer of hope, but it wasn't enough to overshadow the errors, including a throwing miscue from Konnor Griffin that proved detrimental. With Jose Urquidy still nursing an injury and Mike Clevinger sidelined in the minors, the Bucs find themselves needing to tighten their play as they prepare for the rematch against the Nationals. If they want to stay competitive, improvement in execution must happen quickly.
Pirates Upcoming Schedule
The Pittsburgh Pirates visit the Texas Rangers for a 3-game series starting Tuesday.
