The New York Mets continue to spiral, suffering yet another defeat to the Cincinnati Reds, this time a disappointing 2-7, marking their sixth loss in seven games. At 22-32, the team finds itself floundering with a paltry run differential of -19 over the last week, sparking frustration among fans. David Peterson's struggles on the mound did little to help, as he allowed 11 hits, further raising his ERA to 5.57. In a bid to shake things up, the Mets reinstated A.J. Minter from the injured list and added Eric Wagaman to the roster, but it's clear that roster moves alone won't fix this sinking ship. With another game against the Reds on the horizon, the Mets are desperate for a turnaround, but the vibes are as cold as the weather,freezing, to say the least.
