The Colorado Rockies finally found a glimmer of hope amid their dismal stretch, defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-2 at Coors Field, thanks in part to Tomoyuki Sugano's milestone 150th win despite battling illness. This victory, however, does little to mask the larger concerns plaguing the team, as they've struggled to find consistency, evidenced by their recent 2-5 record and a run differential of -19 over the last week. The bullpen has shown flashes of promise with a respectable 1.6 accumulated fWAR, yet a 4.35 ERA still leaves much to be desired. As the Rockies look to build momentum, they must harness this small ball victory and address their ongoing offensive woes, the bats can't afford to be out of breath for much longer.
